P0300 & P0440?

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) p0440
DTC Definition: EVAP Emission Control System Malfunction

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) p0300
DTC Definition: Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

this morning the car wouldnt start. it did once and was puffing and then turned off.

what do i need to do? change out the plugs?

I had the 0440 code and ended up having a split vacuum line from the throttle body to the MAP sensor. Its cheap enough to just change as I assume its probably original from 96.

hows does this work?

plug > plug boot > ignition coil > coil housing > distrubitor > ECU

ok problem fixed for code 0300 i bought 2 new coils, 4 new boots, coil housing, and 4 dcelco spark plugs. total $141 at advance autoparts.

the 0440 problem it comes and goes i just make sure the gas cap is tight and it goes away, but always comes back after a few months oh well.

i think i may have posted something a couple times on the 0440 code in this forum.
