On my way to work today while on the freeway i was taking a long sweeping right turn and accidentally went from 3rd gear to 2nd !! since the turn had me leaned a little to the left!!!! I was sleepy as hell and out of it!! This was only for a split second but now i have a ticking sound coming from the valve cover area. The sound is present at start up then goes away after a few seconds. the car is a 03 ls sport coupe with 85k miles. What do you guys recommend me replacing now before it does more damage/get worse? lifters? I was told i might of prematurely wore out some sort of valvetrain related o ring that is allowing the oil to seep out/off of the lifter thus creating the tick until the oil gets recirculated back up?

Ok it was a little low on oil so i topped it off and now it only does it for like 2 seconds then goes away. i am gonna let it sit for a while and try aain to see how long it does it. I hope its nothing major
