i put an intake on my 2001 cavalier just for the sound, believe me cuz it makes no power anyway. But i hooked it up to throttle body but the intake does not have a place to hook up the mass airflow sensor. Therefore, the check engine light is on. is this ok to leave the way it is or do i actually need that sensor in there? any advice is appreciated....
I thought Cavs only had an IAT sensor...
If that's the case with yours too, drill a hole, get a grommet. Push it in. be done.
Oh and it shouldn't throw a CEL either.
well either i can disconnect the battery for awhile like some people i know and then the ECU resets and the CEL won't come on. I guess ill just take the connnector off the factory intake and drill the hole in the new intake. oh and btw, its a short ram not a full intake
no MAF sensors in j-bodies, just the IAT and MAP sensors. but yes, drill a hole and put the IAT in there. best way to go about it.
