Alright here's the deal.

Vehicle --> 2001 Pontiac Sunfire GT with 108,000 kms.... Bulbs are new (less then a month old for both and swapped them with another working set but the problem still occurs)

The problem is...

when the vehicle is in Drive with no headlights on my DRL's flash almost like an emergency vehicle.
When the vehicle is in Drive with park lights on my DRL's once again flash like an emergency vehicle....
When the vehicle is in Park or Drive with full headlights on my Park lights and Fog lights work 100% but there's is no headlights...

My brights work 100% ok....

The car is not emitting any codes either... the DRL light stays on when the DRLS are flashing and goes off when the full headlights are engaged as it should.

I have ruled out the bulbs... the harnesses are in good shape (no melting, nicks or anything)....


Any suggestions before I start pulling fuses / relays?

Sounds to me a common case one of youre Day time light harness is coroided.

hmmmm... I was thinking possibly the light switch itself???

I read up on a few issues that sounded similar in a couple really old threads... we're talking about 2004-2005 threads...

Problems fixed... it was the light switch... sucked up and went to the stealership to get a brand new one...
