You guys helped me so much on my shifter problem I thought I'd try you with my sunroof issue. The sunroof will open to the vent position correctly but when asked to fully open it only goes to a partially open position (ie: 4 - 5 inches) . Once every 20 or so times it will actually fully open but the next time goes back to partially opening. Closing fully is not a problem. It doesn't seem to be binding ... I've lubed the tracks liberally. There must be some limit switches in that system telling it where to stop.
Any ideas?
My 'fire does the same thing. I'm 99% sure it's a switch problem. Haven't gotten around to replacing it.
try replacing the switch, if its opening and closing some times it still making a complete loop with the current flow
The limit switches in the motor are more than likely the issue.
My 02 just started doing the same thing. Has anyone resolved this issue?
