Changing instrument cluster
Friday, April 09, 2010 9:50 PM
I have a 2000 Sunfire GT... My odometer doesnt read correctly and is a pain from time to time... I usually have to bang on it to see my mileage then it shuts off... Its still lit up but no numbers that you can make out.... I was just going to get one off of ebay or a junkyard but I noticed some of them have codes and I cant figure out if I need to match my code or can I just swap one? And I would assume it would read your cars mileage not the cars who the replacement came from...
Any ideas or previous experiences??

just swap a different one in. youre cars computer records your original mileage so no matter what cluster you replace it with it will still show the correct mileage
