hello,

my friend has a 1995 pontiac sunfire and is havaing a problem with the ventilation system. when you turn on the fan, air only comes out of the front vents. when you change it to the floor or the defroster, no air comes out on the floor or the defrosters, only the front vents. someone told then that it might be a problem with the motor. does anyone know what the problem could be and is there any thing that we can check?

the control head to go from vents to defrost to feet vents are all controled by vacuum. Only thing I can say is check to see if the vacuum lines have no breaks. And IIRC there is a vacuum reservior in the dash. If thats borken it wont let you change vent selection. Goodluck man!
