I just replaced the stock sway bar links on my cavalier with polyurethane ones instead of regular rubber. I am noticing they are creaking/clunking so much now. I don't know why? Is this because they are not rubber?
That's what I thought...same with the poly engine mounts right guys? ...you feel more vibrations and hear more of the creaks ...right? that's what I thought
make sure everything is tightened up good and yeah with the vibrations its cuz your taking the vibrations from the engine which causes torque loss and transferring it to the body of the vehicle and dispersing it out so you are gonna hear sounds you never hear before. but like i said make sure everything is tightened up good. my engine mount had vibrated so loose that was causing my exhaust to rub on the under carriage and made a clunking and squeaking sound and once i tightened the mount back up it was gone.
