Hey i was wondering where i can get an aftermarket oil pump for the 2.4 twin cam motor because the previous owner had spun a bearing because the oil pump went bad and i heard that the 2.4 oil pumps are notorious for that happening. if i get an OEM oil pump like from auto zone of advance would it be ok? like would it still go out at like 130K miles? or do you think the oil pump went bad do to the previous owners not changing the oil on time? im rebuilding a new motor and i would like for this one to last a while so should i go with the OE pump or go aftermarket? and if so where can i get an aftermarket oil pump?
2.3 oil pump swap i heard is good
is that oil pump interchangable with the 2.4 oil pump? like no mods i need to do?
2.3 oil pump in a 2.4 takes modification. Most 2.4s that spin bearings are from low oil, not a none functioning pump.
Melling makes a high flow, direct fit 2.4 pump.

You need to make sure it is the high flow one and not a stock one.
