Hi guys, been a long time!

I have a question about the stock muffler's hanger, and where in mounts to the underside of the car. Is there supposed to be a rubber bushing of some sort that goes on the muffer hanger tab, that fits between the two tabs coming off the underside of the car? Or should there be a bushing sandwiched between the two tabs of the car that the muffer tab then fits into?

My local Autozone and Advanced Auto could not find anything on it, and said they couldn't even order the muffler??

The sedan is the car the wife drives, so I need to figure this out. I can't check on my coupe, because it has custom exhaust.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Pics would be even better!

Best to go to youre local exhaust shop. They can fab something up.

I had to put one of those on my 04 LSS a few months ago. I got mine from the dealer. noone else had it. I believe it was 28 bucks. and its nothing to switchout but two bolts.

water pump & timing chain 229k and Only regular maintance.

heck my advance had it i not only got the hanger but the muffle strap too. you can get it for either a 2.4 or ecotec. there is a bushing the the tabs hook into. Know to pop off or break. they carry just gotta find the guy who know how to use the system. most i go into are idiots u get that one person who knows and the rest are hands lol.wish i had the part number. as a temp fix since its hanging get a wire coat hanger and twist it on. will work great as a temp fix till u track down the strap. of go to a junk yard n pull one just like two 13 mill bolts n a long screw driver is all u need lol.
