ld9 red oil light

on engine # 2 but still having a problem that comes and goes. when ever my temp gets alil over the half mark the red oil light comes on if i com to a stop. when i start driving it goes away. i change the sensor oil is full but still comes?

bad oil pump/ pump bypass. Most likely your engine is already toast. Normally once that light comes on once its too late.

Same problem with my 2.2 L. Bearing were shot.

Enough oil in the engine? I have the same problem. When I do my oil change i might drop the pan and see what's going on in my Eco.

its turbocharged tho. the engine only has 30k on it not rebuild. but stock internals, but red light came on before turboing

well then your lucky you haven't thrown a rod through the block... especially on the ld9.

get a hold of an oil pressure gauge (manual is fine) and check the oil pressure at the head where the pressure switch goes. if it reads good your sensor or wiring is shot. if youre getting bad oil pressure you either have a pump or bearing problem. most likely would be a pump problem, as a bearing problem would be coupled with lots of knocking.
