I hope someone can give me some guidance on this. When I fire up my 2.4 from cold everything is fine, however as it warms up I get a fairly loud ticking coming from it. When this happens if I turn the steering wheel slightly, right or left, the ticking noise almost goes away. I would have thought that I would be able to feel the ticking when I touch the pump but I get nothing.

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

im having this same problem and i am well aware this a old thread but did you ever find out what this problem was

Ticking or knocking? Ticking is normally lifters, knocking is normally the rod bearings.
