I have the service(not check engine) light on and can't figure out why its on. There are no check engine codes and the alternator and battery are in working condition. When I start the car after dark, the headlights were on but they were dim and thats the way its been since it was new. Now, those dim lights, like the brightness of locking/unlocking the doors with the key fob, are no longer on automatically but they do blink 9 times and the service light comes on. Does anyone know whats wrong? The car runs fine otherwise. I also noticed that the driver side headlight blinks dimmer than the other side and the reverse lights don't come on when the car is in reverse but the bulbs dont look to be burned out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well that light usually means a light is outt or somethings up with your drl's.
