2.4 metal coolant pipe
Wednesday, January 18, 2012 5:50 PM
I just picked up a 2000 z24 2.4 . While climbing up under car i notice a metal coolant pipe intermediate line , between the rad hose and thermostat housing . My question is , is this pipe suppose to be crushed almost flat , Is this pipe suppose to be this way . looks very restrictive to me . Is there a upgrade or rubber line i can put there . Cant seem to pull up any part numbers or even find a picture of thsi part . Thanks for any information on this part .

Made that way, and as far as i know, the only thing replaceable/ upgradeable is the actual rubber hoses

It comes like that from factory. One end is your connection to the rad and expansion tank and the other is the connection to the water pump housing which holds the thermostat.
