Ok so I have a 98 z24 cavy with the 2.4 twin cam I have a random P0302 misfire changed spark plugs and also the coil dunno what else may be causing it or what others have found out the car only has 112000 miles new water pump timing chain and tensioner also ...
Your local autozone can rent you out a compression & leakage tester. Id go that route first.
^^ what he said above. If the compression numbers are good, then check your coil pack housing. If it looks burnt up or cracked. (theck the springs in between the coils and coil housing as well) then replace it. You could also check continuity across the 4 terminals just to make sure.
I changed the coil pack housing and have not had the light come back on I drove it like 20 miles so far before I could actually feel the car missing ( putting) hopefully that fixed it leak and compression test was good..
I really can't complain only paid 400 bucks for the car needed a little tlc...

lol, no you can not complain. If it runs and is in pretty decent shape, then you did good sir.
Yes sir that I did runs pretty well it only has a 112000 on it paints a lil faded on the roof that will be fixed soon enough and when I bought it did the water pump ,tensioner ,water outlet ,thermostat and the timing chain already..
Did you find any visible damage on the housing?
In the inside of the water housing 3/4 of the inside lip was missing and it looked like the use rtv sealent to semi fix the problem checked inside the bottom of oil pan and inside radiator no signs of any kinda pieces its almost like it disappeared...
