Okay so my cat was plugged, I got a new universal one. My car now sounds like garbage. My check engine light is gone. Since all the new cats even the universal cats are way smaller than the one that was on it I have no idea what to do now. Please help!!! I cannot drive this noisy thing
garbage how? exhaust leaks, or bad exhaust tone?

Checked for any leaks dealing with a missed weld and all is well, So bad exhaust tone. It's so loud compared to my old cat.
Is there anything else aftermarket in your exhaust system? Muffler or resonator? The stock resonator may be burned out as well as the stock muffler if its still there

No, everything is original on the exhaust system. I know my muffler is okay. But maybe the shop messed up my old resonator. I was just told that its loud because the cat is half the size of the original one. Ahhhh its so loud.
