I changed the sparkplugs in my 04 Cav from Ac delco's to E3's and when I did my car seemed to lag when I floored it and bog out and buck when I let off the gas, so I changed them to NGK's and it's still doin the same thing, has anybody else experienced this problem? could it be my coil pack? only time it drove right was the first year I had it , it hasn't been right since I changed the plugs, anything I should try different??
Skr8 Goodz in tha hood
I tried the E3 plugs in my 02 & 04 cavalier ls sport with the ecotec motor, ran fine but stepping on it i'd feela stunder and such...my dad wanted to try them though I was against, after a week i ripped em out and put new ACDELCO ones in, ran perfect after that, those are the only ones i believe work like they should....plus thats what originally comes in them.
a lot of guys on here say just run delco,s they seem to work best in all the engines.
Idc what the TV tells you, E3s are trash same with the Bosch versions. Ive never met a mechanic who will recommend them over OEM plugs.
My view is that you replace plugs maybe one or two times on a normal car just spend the money and get what the manufacturer recommends. Theres a reason they recommend what they do.
These cars are infamous for that off the line stutter. Been battling it myself, first it was cat converter clogged, then fuel pump was weak, and the no problem since has been Iridium Plugs, ACDelco(hotter plug) or Autolite both work better than could ask. I also redid coil packs, housing, and boots.
Z doesn't mean last, it just lapped A.
Kevin,
NGK makes the AC Delco's. So Tired of hearing this...
OP... What NGK plugs did you install I might know where the problem is..
