Cylinder 1 and 3 dead plugs wet with gas. Car does run but like a two stroke. Back fires and sounds like a vw bug
Lots of fuel smell in exhaust:

Compression excellent.
Coils and tower good.
New cam and crank position sensors.
ICM passes every test.
Replaced ICM with a brand new one JUST TO CHECK.
No increase in RPM when starter fluid sprayed down throttle body.
Injectors OHM and noid perfect.
P300 on 1 and 3.

If it is an ecu can I just get a junk with same accessories (cruise, ac, convertible, 2.4, 4 speed) and plug and play or does it still need flashed. I can get a used ecu in town for $25, Ac Delco $180, not Ac Delco $123. Flash average s $100 here.

did you look at the inside of the coil tower housing? they can also arch internally
