Hey guys I recently had my clutch slave cylinder fail in my 2005 chevy cavalier...just been calling around mechanics for quotes on the job, most are saying its about 7 or 8 hours of labour...which I am ok to pay for, but I am surprised how much they want for parts ( many of the better mechanics don't allow you to bring your own parts ). And so when I asked them how much their LUK clutch is they say it is 800 dollars. Now, I can find the Exedy online for about 300 usd...the LUK for the same price. Is this a normal markup on these clutches, and is the LUK better than the Exedy?
