I recently bought a 1999 Cavalier Z24 with no window switch, only the harness. I am pretty sure that someone may have tried to fix and reassemble the harness and now the wires aren't in the correct order but I can't be sure.. I have yet to buy a Chilton or Haynes manual for this car so I have been using mostly the internet as my source of information. Unfortunately, I can't find anything on wiring/switches for this car so I am hoping someone can help me troubleshoot what is going on with the window switch.

I ordered the switch for model 2000+ newer from Switch Doctor but it didn't match the harness. When I called to have the part returned and to see if I could order a different part the guy was a real ass..

I tried connecting the switch to the harness and had no power.

Does anyone have a wiring guide for what wires go to what?

What steps do I need to take to figure out why someone was intending to replace the Window Switch in the first place?
