The other day I was screwing around with my deck and somehow it managed to short out my gauge and HVAC lights. I'm certain it isn't a fuse because they still flash when I arm my alarm. That means there is still a complete circuit right.... I'm really confused.
you should check your fuses anyway.

It's definately not the fuses, I checked every single one.....even the ones for my headlights. They're all fine.
the same happene to me a whle ago. if you know someone else with the same style gauge as yours, you could try swappping them out. i took my car to the dealer and they charged me $270 to fix it. also, maybe try leaving your battery unplugged overnight to see if the computer can reset everything.

i had a prob like that once. idk what year your car is, but in my 02 cav i had a loose connection behind the head unit. don't remember what color it was though. just pull the head unit out and double check your connections.

Okay people, electrical Diagnosics 101 tells use to trace the harness to the fuse panel then to the light. Only then will you find your problem. Use a Nodlight or Fuse jumper.
wait, only your lights dont work, but the guages do move?
The source of power for those lights goes through the dimmer switch.. make sure you didnt accidentally move yours down and dimmed down your lights. Its a stupid suggestion but it does happen.

Well, after all the effort of pulling my dash apart to check the wires...it turns out to be a fuse.
I checked over all my fuses....twice, and didn't notice it. It was a really small break. The reason my gauge lights still flashed when the alarm was armed is because power was being added to the circuit AFTER the fuse by my alarm.

thats why you use a test light to test your fuses, not your eyes.

I don't have one, and I don't really have access to one. But after this I'm definately going to be picking one up.
they run from $5 to $20, you can get them from Autozone or all the way to walmart. Most department stores sell them.
