i jump started my 92 cavi wrong, put the positive on the alt arm and the neg on the pos terminal on the battery...now it will stay running only when its conected correctly to another car..what did i do?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!

probably fried your battery, be lucky it wasnt your ecu. i just had a friend fry his on his vw jetta.

Check your alternator too.

maybe you just blew the Fusible Link in Alternator to Battery cable or the Battery to Power Distribution cable.
Worth checking before you suspect the Alternator.
Worst case you may have blown the diodes in the Alternator-I think your battery may well have survived although it may need a charge.

Hope there is a cheap fix

You can get alternators and batteries tested at many of the local chain auto parts stores for free. Good cheap way to start.

Hey, check your fuses under your hood. Probably fried one. I used to have an old beater hundia for bagging around dirt roads and sh8t, and the altinator wasn't keeping charge to the battery; wouldn't start or run unless attached to my 2003 cavi. Just a thing worth checking.

check the fuseabul links at the starter give them a light tug if thay come apart there fried
had a new battery with terminas marked wrong and thats what happend all the fuese and fuesabul links were burnt

My 93 dodge had the same thing happen when we tried to jump it from an explorer. Had to take it to an electrical shop to find out that I had fried the computer. start with your small things like alt and batt but my guess is the fusable link or the computer
