i've heard things such as armor all isn't actually good for your car. like on the interior, it dries out the parts and u have to keep using it. and then for tires i was told anything kind of tire shine product isn't recommended bc it dries out your tires and it also can ruin your rims if it ever drips on it, or if you apply it, and u drive and it gets on the rims at all. is all this true? the interior i've heard from a couple different sources, and the tires and wheels problem i was told by tire discounters (where i got my rims)
I have heard that about the tire shine stuff, but I don't actually know if it's true. I still use it, but not very often.
The best I have found so far it called Trim Shine, made by Stoner, (Autozone, Advance) just about any auto store has it. About any vinyl cleaner is good be sure they do not contain silcone, and have a UV protectant. And for tire cleaners make sure they don't contain petroleum solvents which can damage rubber.
That's all bologna I have used armor all on both my vehicles a 85 cav and 87 mazda trk and have NO cracks or fading and absolutely no tire problems at ALL.I hv used this stuff for 18 yrs and no problems and as for getting it on the rims soap and water takes care of that when u wash it.Just keep ur rims polished if u have alloy or alum and u will be fine.I highly recomm useing black magic tire and trim and most aerosol tire shines will prevent tiring cracking or dry rot and give ur tires a nice luster.The black magic does wonders on trim outside the car and prevents fading.The interior in both my rides are just as good as the day I got them new.

Hmmm... Lets make some tire cleaner... Tires are rubber... Hey lets put this stuff in our cleaner that bad for rubber...
God your dumb. They wouldnt do that. And even if they did by the time you wipe it on and it evaperates and you drive through a puddle the next day your gonna be fine anyways.
And about Armorall... Some people hate it, I dont know why. Some Armorall Product of one sort or a nother has touched every part of my Armorall-able interior and exterior. And Im not complaining. And I still have tires...

armor all is good stuff, but if you ever decide to paint your interior it's a B*... to clean off. i actually think using that stuff prolonged the life of the dash, but the J-body creak on the dash is inevitable.
CAR GODS MADE THE 1.6 SOHC TO MAKE US 2.2 OHV GUYS FEEL BETTER.

I actually found that armor all sometimes leaves the interior waxy feeling and not completly dry.. I use pledge (dusting for inside the home). Try it out. it makes it shine, free if you steal it from your mom lol.. and leaves the surface dry and really smooth. +dust doesnt begin to stick to it like armor all will. Esp. if you smoke.. ashes dont look good
