I have a 97 Cavalier Z24 with a 2.4. On start up the engine surges for about 5 seconds before smoothing out. No check engine light and it runs awesome otherwise. What could this be......injectors? It has 114k miles.
You mean the RPMs go up to like 1500 or whatever, then drop, its normal ya know.....

maybe he means it kinda 'stumbles'? then runs smoothly.
