2000 Cavy Stalling

I have a 2000 Cavalier that cant seem to stay running. It usually happens if I idle for a while if im driving at a constant speed like on the highway. There are two trouble codes being thrown by the computer they are, EVAP system and catylitic not firing, which doesnt make sense to me since my car passed Emissions test with flying colors last month. I've already changed the fuel filter before this started but then I used a jerry can to put some gas in and it had alot of sediment in the bottom. Any ideas anyone?

Random dying is usually caused by a failing magnetic reluctant sensor, example crankshaft or camshaft position sensor.
