I have been trying to figure out how to remove the electric cooling fan from a 2000 Cavalier with a 2.2L 4Cyl Engine?
I have been having issues with the cooling fan blowing the 30a fuse under the hood. I have replced the ECT Sensor and the fuse and it still blows the fuse a few seconds after the fan starts running.
I believe there must be a problem with the electric fan motor causing it to draw too much current. I want to pull the fan motor out and check it but I can not figure out how to remove the assembly.
It sits behind the radiator in a blak plastic bracket.. It looks as though it should lift and slide out but I am sure it is bolted somewhere I just have not found the bolts yet.
If someone can tell me how to remove the assembly I would definitely appreciate it.
There's one bolt on the bottom of the rad support. I believe it's a 10mm bolt. It's close to the middle of the radiator.
