I've been planning a couple upgrades for my 1999 cavalier (2.2L ecotec) and I'd kinda like the opinion of anyone who may have possibly done any of these upgrades and if they had any problems with them.
The first thing I want to get is an AEM Cold Air Induction System, Part# 21-447, $265.

The second thing I want to get is a Pacesetter Header Kit, Part# P40701276, $190.30.

The third thing I want to get is a Full Boar Exhaust Muffler, Part # SD412-3D, $49.

I have already removed the catalytic converter from my car (yes i know not really good but it was VERY clogged and I couldn't afford to replace it) so there is straight pipe there, this means there is no attachment for mounts.
Because of that I believe I will need to remove the mount from the end of the Header Kit and weld a 2.25" pipe from it to the muffler.
If this isn't a good idea could you please inform me how to better do this and achieve what i need, I'm also doing some minor repairs, if you would like these listed please ask.
Umm just as a heads up..unless your auntie did a engine swap...you have a 2200 ohv..ecos came out in the 02's and then became standard in 03..phil
Philly thanks I was just about to mention that lol

Lol yeah, forgot, been working with a friend who has an '05 cavalier with the ecotec engine, forgot mines older and just has the 2200 engine, well yeah, that being said, what is your opinion on those upgrades?
swapping a 2.4L LD9 or a 2.2L Ecotec would be your best bet...... you'll waist to much money raising it to the same hp as a stock LD9....
