ECOTEC race valve cover!
Wednesday, January 16, 2008 9:51 AM
I've seen this valve cover in every ecotec race engine but I can't find them anywhere!! Does anyone know where to find this style valve cover? I know that this one has the oil cap welded over but not of them in this style have that done to them? I obviously don't want that!

I'm also looking for the Cobalt style IDI Cover since I'm going to be using a traditional style distributor soon anyway!

Somebody please tell me where to find this stuff! lol

I'd say powdercoat your valve cover red and duplicate it as best as possible.

So much for putting oil in your engine.

Running a dry sump you dont need a filler on the engine valve cover

You cannot use it because they have the cam angle sensor on the exhaust cam.
I had the LSJ head on my L61 bottom and the head is different along with that exhaust cam ending.
However if you try NOT to use the cam angle sensor then you are going to have a half circle hole pouring oil out.
Too bad.

so obviously the valve cover is out of the question but what about using the MSD Distributor I found online for the ecotec. I've only seen it on that same style of valve cover is it possible to use it on my cav?
