Ok well i am new to the fourms but have read them many times. My question is if i was to buy a rksport 4-2-1 header and a exhaust system off ebay or something because i dont want to pay an arm and a leg for some magnaflow system. But will it bolts to getter or will i need to get more @!#$. If someone could put up some good exhaust systems or headers other then rksport. thanks

You'll need to weld the header to the exhaust. If I were you I'd go with the ceramic-coated pacesetter header. Most of us ecotec guys use it. Also, I would suggest making your own exhaust. This will save you money and you can also get the exact sound you want by going the custom route.

It's mostly just piecing it together. Buy the header, high flow cat, biggest resonator you can fit, and a muffler and the shop will do the rest

Ours will when it's done.

There are a lot that will bolt right up to a stock downpipe. once you change the exhaust mainfold, you HAVE to weld the downpipe to the pre cat part of the exhaust. or you will 99% have a leak. i have the pacesetter LSJ header on my car with the rksport single outlet, and i do like how it sounds and makes the car feel, but it will be changed soon.

Custom Tubes inc. is where you can pick up the cat back piping. (id suggest 2.5" not getting into the reasons but its $25 less)

Check JEGS, EBAY, or a local shop for a good 2.5" muffler and pick up a $20 2.5" Cherrybomb from checker or autozone to use as a resonator (PLEASE take my advice DO THIS!)

and if your interested in doing the whole exhaust find a 2.5" High Flow Catalytic Converter with an 02 Censor bung already installed on the Catalytic Converter (Magnaflow makes a very reputable product) I think everybody that is running a cat on a larger than stock diameter exhaust has a magnaflow. so thats saying something right there.

And a header.. Do a search on the header your looking to buy don't just sit back and take my advice because im not even going to give you any. Some leak some have fitment issues and knock against the fire wall some has paint that comes off the 1st time you start the car and rust out. DO A SEARCH FIND OUT WHAT YOU CAN BEFORE YOU BUY ONE!
