I'm looking at the custom tubes 2.5". It seems like a lot of people have it and like it. Is there anything else (besides a muffler) that is needed to bolt up to the stock cat. It looks like it doesn't include a flange adapter but the website isn't very detailed. Does it include all clamps and hangers?
Probably not.
That's why I went with the Atomic/ TVR exhaust.
At least with them, you get what you pay for and have alot of capability with the V-bands that are used instead of the usual three bolt flanges.
It's either that, the Custom Tubes, or IPerformance exhaust.
Either of them are good choices but consider what you have to add to make it all work.

I have the 3" setup. It is made to attach to your factory hangers(it has the little rod type things wielded on), however no clamps or flange.
I need to place an order with willie for the 2.5" unit why they are still cheap... I'm getting tired as hell at having to patch this old as aluminized 2.5" pipe that as been on the car since who knows when... I got the car in July of 04 and the pipe looked old then lol.
How many pieces is it shipped in? Do the pieces slide together to allow you to use clamps or do you have to have it welded? So you would have to have a flange welded on?
My Custom Tubes 2.5" pipe came in 3 pieces.. The parts connected together were swedged open to possible alloy for clamps but if you paid the money to get mandrel bent exhaust might as well weld it together..
You might need an extra straight section for between the cat and the beginning of the catback or if you do a cat delete. The straight pipe can be had at Autozone cheap, its readily available and most of the wholesale parts places like Savage, etc can actually cut you a piece from stock whatever length you need. With the custom tubes I just replaced the section they gave for the cat back to the first bend with a straight pipe that goes the whole length to eliminate the needs for extra welds/clamps.

I believe if you contact them they can add flanges and/or a muffler at your cost of course. I have the 2.5" and it came shipped in three pieces.
I found a really good shop in my area. I am going to have them install the flange and weld all the pieces together. I figure welding will be better than clamps in the long run. Looks like i'm using the stock cat and a dynomax turbo muffler. Are the thrush mufflers made by dynomax? It seems like they are a cheaper version but the dynomax website doesn't say anything.
