hey guys .. i have a quick question .. i have a 96 ld9 and i know that you guys change your oil pumps for the 2.3 one .. i looked and both look like the same .. whats the actual difference between the 2 ? do you guys change just part of it or the complete pump ..
thanks
umm..what are you looking at????
the 2.3 has no balance shafts and the 2.4 pump is intergrated into the balance shafts so its a MUCH bigger assembly..once again, what exactly are you looking at ???
i've read somewhere here that the 2.3 oil pump sends much more presure than the 2.4 one .. is that right ? correct me if im wrong ..
thanks

Yea your not looking at the right parts because these two pumps look nothing like eachother.
The 2.3 oil pump swap requires you removing your engine and alot of machine work to be done to the block. Search "2.3 oil pump swap" in the performance forum to look into it more.

thanks a lot .. one more question .. how much (recommended) boost could i run with my stock oil pump ..
Isn't the 2.3 pump on the '95 similar to the 2.4 pumps since the '95's had balance shafts too?
how much (recommended) boost could i run with my stock oil pump ..?

Really bad question!
boost has nothing to do with oil pressure.
Run 45psi of boost, just stay below 3000rpm.
