Simple question.... what is involved with swapping a 2.4 into a base model 2 door cavalier? Lets assume the base model has a
5-speed

While you're reading the tons of related threads, you'll basically need the transmission too as the 2.4 and 2.2 don't share them. It's easier if you keep the 5-speed, but I don't know if you can use the 2.2 shifter. You'll need the 2.4 ECM and harness(s). It's easiest if you have a donor car (or access to one) with all the fiddling things you'll need.. Good luck.

i did it was was really easy i cost about 500 dollars ill give you a step by step 1 sell your 2.2 car (2.) buy a car with a 2.4
