ln2 cam swap from 95 to 96, will it work?

I have a 96 cav and some one was giving me a motor from a 95. I was in a hurry and forgot that the 95s have no cam sensor. but my question is will the cams swap or not. Please help im on a short dead line. thank you.

Both cams have the same profile, but as you know the '95 doesn't have the position sensor notch. The motor will run, but you'll get a CEL and the motor will stay in limp/open loop mode, with the injectors firing in batch instead of sequentially. You'll have reduced power and gas mileage, with increased exhaust emissions.
