Just recently went over 100k miles on the ecotec. I've already done a few things performance wise, but its been awhile. With that many miles, is it to late to consider modding any further.
hell no. go for it.
if it breaks... rebuild.
Stand in the corner and SCREAM with me!!!!
no, as long as u've taken care of the car. i plan on a nitrous setup next year and i just went over 110k.
taken care of it meaning all the regular maintenance like oil changes, filter, etc, then yea. the way i drive it, different story. lol
100k miles is not alot of miles lol. i have 176k on my 99 2.4
Mileage is a moot point. If it lost some power over the years, rebuild the engine. If it has rust, cut it out and bondo it. If it can run, you can mod it.

its never too late to mod, build it until you break it
rebuild it stronger
the only issue you have is that its an ecotec. complete trash
LD9 FTW

Ecos are not trash.
15.0 @ 90mph with only a intake and exhaust.

he was kidding. it's a back and forth thing.
I know, I am just a die hard eco fan

input is highly appreciated!
I had a 92 cavalier with the 2.2 and I put the 2200 pistons in at 120K and ran good fuel. Beat it relentlessly everyday and sold it to a high school kid at 176K and it still runs great over 200K. It goes to show that all these modern engines need is someone to change the oil faithfully and address minor problems early and they will run forever. By the way, that thing came from the factory with a weird silver stripe on the doors and a decal that said GTi. anyone know anything about that? special edition?

yep, the "it costs extra because it's limited edition striping package because we're the only dealer that does it" package.
also know as dealer rice. it jacks up the initial cost and means nothing for resale.

You really can't start saying "high mileage" until you have at least 200k.

$199 is all i have to say about that.
and otherwise this dudes a tool bag and a half. he aint gonna mod @!#$ on his car, he'll forever leave it stock and dream, on his cock shaped pillow, every night that his sunfire will one day run 9's all motor full interior.
