i recently did the 2.3 TB swap on my sunfire, it gave noticeable gains in mid-high range power, but does anyone have a ball park idea of the gains in hp and tq? just curious to find out

How much trouble did you have making it fit? I heard there was trouble with the cable not fitting over the wheel? I'm about 1 week away from going and finding one in a junk yard. Sorry I have no idea what kind of numbers you can expect.

Gains will always be relative to complementary mods...

its very true, intake and exhaust mods supplement anything else you have in there, and improve performance at different rates depending on how modiifed you are

One site that talks about typical gains for bolt ons, porting or any mod is Isuzuperformance.
I know, our cars are not from Isuzu, but the gains listed give you a good idea.
Most people there are looking up gains for a 1.6 DOHC with 130hp, so it will be close.

My wife's 2003 Ecotec 2.2 liter Sunfire:

* 2 1/4 inch catalytic converter
* an AEM true cold air intake NOPI edition
* 8 gauge ground wire kit

* Russell stainless steel brake lines all around.

works fine if you swap out the 2.3 pulley with the 2200. I don't know if it was by luck of the draw I pulled one with the same TBS as the 2200....from what I've gathered there may be another variation out there? Whatever the case....swapping that pulley is a sure fire way to make it work proper....

Theres a dyno in Cap Pele, probably be able to do a few pulls for pretty cheap to see how much you gain.

I cant imagine youd gain much since the head is still the biggest issue.

it's all cumulative....you won't see full potential from any internals without it.

still, no one provides the answer the OP asks. Dyno is the only answer.
