OKee so,
Engine has been putting out a P0171-System Too Lean (Bank 1) before and after the fuel pump rebuild. I replaced the following:
-TPS sensor
-MAP sensor
-IAC valve
-IAT sensor
-Fuel pump
-Coil pack
-ICM
-fuel pressure regulator
-top O2 sensor
-fuel filter
Cleaned:
-EVAP soilenoid
-throtle body
i took a bottle of windex and sprayed all around the engine bay and didnt notice any sort of RPM change.the battery was disconnected for 24 hours after i deleted the codes with the scanner. after about 30 mins of idling, the P0171 and P0171 pending codes came back.
Could it even be possible that the EVAP soilenoid is bad???
Im running out of ideas. Please help me!
Purge valve or vacuum leak.

When removing the inside plastic covers on the wheel wells, i noticed the EVAP line was actually MIA and not connecting to its other piece. got some fuel hose, connected the two lines, and now, today while driving the car, it shot a P0300 like it always does and stalled out at a stop light (scary btw) started it back up and drove it back home. i changed the gas cap, and i changed the purge valve above the ac compressor. there was still a VERY EXCESSIVE amount of pressure in my fuel tank with the new valve and gas cap. it actually split the tank and i have to get another one. I brought it back into the garage, then the computer told me the P0171 is back along with a new code: P0401 - EGR flow insufficient. does someone have a freaking egr delete plate i can just put over the thing and call it a done deal? i wanted to drive this car, but i cant drive it if it stalls at every light...im pretty sure if i just get the plate and put it on it, chances are everything will go away....any help guys?
another update:
I have anew lead. i disconnect the battery and noticed that after about 10 or 15 seconds of idleing, the engine shut off........I think i have a bad alternator, because the battery, even after 30-45 minutes of driving, didnt charge all the way, and the battery doesnt have a dead cell, it was tested and checked out okee. which leads me to believe the ideas of friends saying that since the alt isnt making enough charge, it wont make enough for spark, injector firing, the purge/egr valves, ect. anyone else think this makes sense? if so, ill change the alt tomorrow morning.

UPDATE
OKee, so after looking for a hour and removing both fenders i found several things:
1. That stock air filter setup was FULL of sand and other sorts of debris, it was literally falling off in bags when i removed the driver side fender. i got rid of that whole set up, it was all cracked up from being hit anyway.
2. The actual charcoal canister is MIA. Thats probably why those lines were just hanging there doing nothing and me connecting the two lines, might actually be the cause of the massive pressure in the tank. No wonder that i couldnt find it after an hour of looking...
3. IDK if the charcoal canister takes any sort of connector, but there is a pink-lookiong wire and a white wire just hanging off my PCM....the whole group of wires in that strand were zip tied up, so im thinking someone knew those wires were hanging...thats all untill i get a cansiter/vent valve...
are you running stock? what engine? what year?

As far as i know, yes this motor is 100% stock. Its the 2.4L Twin Cam "Quad 4" motor, and the car is a 97 Z24. 5-speed if it matters.
