so after a big disappointment with my previous setup i would like to plan first before throwing anything in the trunk
before i had 3 jl10wv3 subs in a 2.2 cu/ft box, qtc = 0.75, fc about 50hz f3 about 45 hz. wired to 1.33 ohms and powered by rf t1500.
it sounded ok but a little 'boomy'. i would like to go ported this time and tune it to no higher than 30hz with f3 at 27 hz
i want to run 2 12s instead of 3 10s this time.
so far my choices are 12w7, re xxx, rf t2 or fi btl
i want to tune them to NO HIGHER than 30hz for both sq and spl
for mids/highs i am running jl c5s - they're not bad but lack mid bass a little (i have my door sealed) and highs are a bit bright (i set them at -1db).
would you suggest to add mid bass component if so which 1? also anything i can do to smooth out the highs??
any tips are greatly appreciated
