I'm looking to ditch the aluminum noise maker i have, for a chromoly... In your experience, what would be the lightest, but highest quality/longevity and quietest flywheel?
2000 LD9 F23 Bully Stage 4 clutch.

What flywheel are you currently running?
"Oil Leak ? What oil Leak ? Oh, Thats Just The Sweat From All The HorsePower!!"
Is that spec or fidanza made do you know?
Looks like my spec.

i want to say fidanza made it for RK sport...
how quickly could i get one from mantapart?
i just checked..., he doesn't have any flywheels up on ebay right now...

my wanna-be rocketparts mantapart steel flywheel weighs 7.1 pounds. (its just a gutted stocker)
Hmmm, I never did weigh mine

I think all flywheels for J's have been made by the same place (not sure if it is Fidanza, or Spec), but all were made at one time by the same, and RK got there's from them as well.
FU Tuning
^^ incorrect.
aasco (unorthodox, stillen) makes their own to this day. its an isuzu stepped style but its available. they do not offer a getrag flat style, unfortunately.
the older "rk sport" and "spec" aka fidanza ones are the fidanza first design ones from what i have seen. this style seems to be hit or miss on weather or not the centers get ripped apart. fidanza saw the error of their ways and re-designed their's to have a thicker center. there is measurment proof as well as picturers courtest of jeff (racin17) from quad 4 forums around here that i posted up somewhere....
i believe spec actually either makes their own or outsources to yet a different company now as they were tired of their name being soiled due to fidanza's failures.
only other aluminum option i know of is the one clutch masters offers with their twin disc setup.
and guys, when will you learn? lol CONTACT tim (partzseller27)... just because there isnt one on ebay doesnt mean it hasnt got another lying around somewhere or could possibly make another.

Come join us over on the Olds Quad 4 and Twin Cam Facebook group!
The one that I just unwrapped is from partzseller27 is the only one I have seen on eBay from him for the last month or so, weighs 13lbs. What does a stocker weigh again? I had a fidenza flywheel break on me and I don't want to go through that again. IMO not worth the few pounds on a daily driver.

How is the clutch masters setup? Good?
Not sure, i'll take pics tomorrow.

Apparently Exedy also only makes the Isuzu style, and offer nothing for the Getrag.
So apparently no one makes a chromoly flywheel for 00+ 2.4s... =(
I've talked to a few shops about guttural.g a flywheel but couldn't get one to actually do it. They both said the process can weaken it too much to be safe.

theres a shop up here that "regrinds"-thats what sign says-flywheels, I have had motor work done there on sbc, dsm, LG0, and quads n such too...they seem pretty legit and say they are going to cut my weight in half and still maintain integrity, so I wanna see if they can haha even if they knock it down several pounds I wont care...point is I guess it's ok to do it
