First off, I'm pissed.
I got my nice 03-05 LS sport rear painted this summer at a local shop, not going to mention names yet, and it was brand spanking new. Anywho, when we got all the snow the other day, I was backing out of the driveway, and the plow came by, and a small chunk of snow ice crap must have hit my bumper. Fine, I can handle if I was an idiot, and it would dent like normal paint when it adhered properly. But what happened is it looks like a small part of it poked my bumper, and all the paint around the area like shattered and is just flaking off, WTF?! Shouldn't the paint have just stayed attached, and poked in like normal urethane scuffs????
Should I go back to the shop and tell them to fix it? Or should I just be pissed and wait for a complete repaint?
Is there anything they can really do to fix this? Because I'm pretty sure as soon as I hit the car with like a garden hose half my freakin paint is gonna fall off.
Thanks for listening to my rant!
I'll try to get pictures to follow but I work 22 hours this weekend.
Also, Wayders, expect a PM at some point, lol.
There will always be someone faster than you, but thousands slower and dumber than you.
well you can try bitching that usually works. and if your lucky the out come will be a free fix for your bumper. man that blows sorry to hear that
well with it being so cold and urethane becoming hard, something as sharp and hard as ice could've done that to a bumper. ive seen it before.
anything is a possibilty, check to see if there are any sanding marks underneath where the paint is flaking.
they might have gotten lazy and just sprayed plastic adhesive promoter on it and called it a day.
i expect the PM
