Hello, i currently live on long island, NY and like many of us here, im looking to move to NC. (specifically, fuquay-varina) i was just curious about what kinda j-crew is down in that area, what the night-life is like, what traffic is like, idealy, the view of that area in the eyes of someone my age (im 22). pros, cons, etc. thanks guys/gals!

well i personally dont live in Raleigh but a bunch of our car club members do....they will be able to tell you about the area and what not whenever they get online.

whats going on, well raleigh honestly doesnt have much of a night life unless you really like going out to cars or clubs. i personally dont enjoy that too mcuh so its usually going to a friends house. Traffic to me isnt bad, but i am use to it. you are from NY so it is proabably a piece of cake for you. Raleigh isnt a congested area, its trying to get there, but it will never go that far. there are about 6 of us that are in street visions, and I know of about 6-7 more j's that just run by them selves and we see every so often.

well im not moving to raleigh itself, nor is it definite yet. id be moving to the cary/fuquay varina area. but thanks for the feedback guys. if i do move down there, id be happy to bring my BC2 sedan to the club meets! id need to meet some new friends. ya'll play beer pong down there right??

anyway....the area(s) down here in NC as whole are quite (to a certain point)....where i live i believe has worse traffic than the area your talking about going to (but thats mainly construction 24/7-365) of course youll be in the outskirts anyways so it wont be that bad
@!#$way Vagina? Dude the fuquay/cary location is where im at. Fuquay sucks. Stay out of there. Its like 35 mph all over that place and way to many cops for that town. Holly springs is just north of fuquay and i'd stay out of there as well. more Cops (worse than fuquay). Cary is best. Alot of cops but a standardization on rules. Carys bigger so the cops arent really dying to pull you over. they got banks and feul stations to monitor. i moved here 3 years ago and i stay the hell out of the town i live in.
Learn Back roads. and stay off the beltline.

well just a heads up, cary cops are dicks. they will pull you for anything. i try to stay out of cary as much as possibly. but fuquay is cool. i drive through every day goin to school. as said above about the traffic, its not that bad, if we do get any snow, or more likly around here ice, i would park the car. most of the people either go way to slow and get stuck or go to dam fast and lose it and hit every car in site... just my 2 cents

lundis~ i dont mind beer pong except for the fact a) dont drink beer (i do the hard stuff) b)got burnt out on it living at the beach cause we played it 2-3 times a week for 6 months and its like isnt there anything else we can do lol. see where i am going at here lol.
the possibility of me driving down there has just jumped up big time for this weekend. anyone around that wants to chill? if i do drive down, itll be in the cary/fuquay area. any reccomendations for a cheap hotel/motel beyond what i can find on travel sites?
any reccomendations for apartments in that area? im looking at complexes on forrent.com and apartments.com and the like...figured locals might have a bit more knowledge.

well the job at least in the immediate future looks like its not gonna happen...but i am gonnna start saving up as much cash i can for furniture and moving expenses and the like. at the least, ill be down in july for a good friend's wedding, im in the wedding party. ill be in greensville (i think thats what it was) on the weekend of july 7th..give me a call 631-241-0823 and ya'll are more than welcome to come party with us at my hotel...if im not yet down there!
