i think i bent a valve.. not positive but i have a loud "ticking" that started recently and is getting progressively louder. im keeping the rpms under 2000 and trying not to use the car. i either want to find a head or a whole engine to throw in. anybody thats got 1 fs. please let me kno. thanks guys.

my 98 2.4 had a bad ticking noise right before the timing chain broke and unleashed hell on my motor, check with clearwater cylinder heads for a good deal on a rebuilt head
