finally after seaching for a 2.0 turbo motor 1 kinda fell into my lap.
my brother told me his friend had an old 89 grand am 2.0 turbo tat he was going to junk
some one had gave it to him cause it was leaking antifreeze.the car has been setting scence 94. he was going to take it and get money on the metal, aluminum and stuff like that any way my brother told him i was looking for an engine and he told me i could have the engine and tranny for $50. i went and tore it apart to look for damage and there was none and after looking at the title we found out the engine has a little less than 80000 miles on it. so im no dummy and i know a hella deal when i see one.so hes got his $50 and i got my engine
good find. you coulda had mine for that.

Take it from someone who has owned 1 too many 2.0LOHC cars. (and a Turbo2.0L)
*Do a full rebuild while you have it out! These motors are built really bad!!
*Change the oilpump...they go...and are a bitch to replace.
*Replace the Rodbearings. Install some ARP rod bolts. The rod bearings spin real easily.
*Replace the Head-Gasket, and do the valve seals. These go aswell.
*Install a 5-speed. You're guaranteed a low 15 stock!
I have plenty 2.0LOHC parts...because that's all these cars become...parts.
