Since reproduction ASC labels for the door jambs are like $20 and hard to find...I just scaned a pic of one and edited out the dates. You can photoshop it up if you'd like.
I know some of us are into OEM restorations, and decals like these are usually the first to go during a repaint. Anyone else with a better copy feel free to post up and we can re-do these.

I've never even seen one of those.... are they only on verts?
Yes, they were applied at the Automobile Specialty Company plant when the convertibles were literally made from new J-body coupes. (cut top, doors, fitted top frame assembly & trim, etc.)
They just stated that the car was safe to drive and license, and met all the current safety standards for that year. They also did the same conversions on later model Cavs & Sunfires, Camaros & Firebirds, Toyota Celicas and Solaras, ASC McLarens, GNX's, and currently did the work on the Chevy SSR.
They are not helpful with any questions of the J-body cars though. I have tried to write and email them several times to get info and pictures on the conversion process for these cars...and have gotten nowhere. That's why I scanned and tried to duplicate the labels. They seem to want nothing to do with us J-body owners because they're such a big company now, and don't have time to deal with 20 year old car questions.
