Header Installation
Thursday, September 15, 2005 7:40 PM
This summer I'm going to finally get around to getting an exhaust system put in my car. I have a few questions though.

1. Would a place like Midas install the header along with the exhaust sytem, or will I have to go elsewhere because I wouldn't know where to get it installed.

2. How would I explain to the way I want the Pacesetter header custom bent so it will work with my car?

3. How much will header + exhaust installation cost if that was feasible somewhere like Midas?

Thanks in advance.

Midas is a ripoff. Find a non-nationwide muffler shop, somewhere local. Midas wanted $250 to install a backpipe and muffler on my car...I got a local shop to do it for $160...

Best way to tell them how you want the pipes bent is to have them mock it up on the car and show where you want the bends while the car is on a lift.

Thanks, I'll look up a local shop in the yellow pages. Oh yeah another question when I tell them how I want it bent, are there any specific dimensions?

best thing to do is like show where you want the bends with a marker...

I'll just tell them to bend it in the most unrestricting way possible.

I think I'm not going to get headers anymore and just the exahust maybe... I'm set on saving up for a 3X00 swap.
