engine wiring harnes for a 3.1/3x00

ok peps i got my second car so now its time to start building my "fun" enigne
got a few ? befor i start grabing stuff outa the yard
one the wiring harnes for the 3.1 is the same as the 2.2mpfi (as in the v6 comp will plug into the fire wall i realize the harness it diff cause of the sensors)
and whare can i get a bolt in 5 speed tranny to hold a high power 3x00

will the issusu tranny hold it with a rebuild and beefing it up

thanx peps ill soon b joining the ranks of the v6 /3x00 engine swapers
also what is the fastest v6 in a j just wana know

The 2.2 harness and 3.1 harness are different. I know they used too know share the same ECM and I don't believe they did even upto 94'.

As for the tranny, there are people running the isuzu. I'd say it's ok, but I prefer the gearing of the muncie/getrag.

As for the fastest V6? Are we talking NA? Colin's 3.1/3100 hybrid runs a 13.9. My 3.1 turbo'ed runs a 12.3, and Frank (3800 turbo) runs a 11.33 I think. Frank's is a drag exclusive car, but Colin and mine are stil street driven.

No real big modifications are needed to run a 3x00 or a hybrid setup off a 3.1L harness. But yes as Curtis has said, you will need the 3.1L harness.

man, i'd say definitely get the 3.1/3x00 harness regardless. get a getrag if possible. and you know the answer to the other question mitch... my 3.1 was the fastest, but it's gone now.

yea i know
and im thinking of swaping the z24 steering rack in as well

also does ne one know what a 2gen will run with a 3400 man

and if im not mistaken the 3400 will bolt on and work with eather the issusu or the getrag ....right

i know about that site i just havent had much time to b on the net latley
many persional problems

a bone stock 3400 - 5 speed in a Jbody should run mid to low 14's

yes, the 3400 will bolt to anything the 3.1 did.. but the external slave Muncie trans is easier to work with. i've taken mine out in about 2 hrs and had it back in and drove the car in about 3 hrs..
