Sorry to start a new topic for just one question but...... what sold my oil pressure be in a 93 2.2L cav at ittle and driving, steping on it, cold/ warm, cause i hooked up an after market gauge and when my car is warmed up and has been running for a while it drops below 25 psi.... and even lower sometimes.... when i am driving it is up around 50 psi. Is that to low? I run Mobile 1 5w30 full synthedic.

Shoukld be around 55-60 at cold start up, and then drop to about 25 at normal operating temp. It should be around 60-65 at WOT.
then its about right.... what if its lower then 25 at normal operation tem? is that bad? can it mess anything up and how do i fix it?

Its not necessarily a bad thing, especially on an older car with high miles. How low are you talking? Lower than 10 is definetely bad, and will lead to bearing failure, etc. Keep in mind that electric gauges are not the most accurate to go by, only a mechanical gauge will give you the exact reading.
well it is a direct reading gauge..... so it should be accurate, but its hard to tell exactly cause the gauge goes in such big increments...... 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 and the numbers are really close together and when warm it itles between 0 and 25 so.... like i said its hard to tell!! but if it is lower then 10 what can i do to fix it.... cause burning a set of bearings is the last thing i need!!

There isn't really much you can do to increase oil pressure in an older engine (yes, I know there are "miracle" oil additives out there that claim to fix low oil pressure and restore performance. If it sounds too good to be true, it is). The pressure is created by the oil being forced the passages to lubricate the bearings. If the bearings are worn (which is perfectly normal in a high mileage engine), the pressure drops because there is less slowing the oil flow down. You could install new bearings if you want. If its not knocking, then you shouldn't worry about it. My first 2.2 ran with really low pressure (around 10psi) and didn't knock.
Try a different gauge first. Between 0and 25 could be 15, which is fine at temp on an older 2.2, IIRC, the oil light comes on at like 7psi. You should be more concerned with the high end reading.
cool man thanks for the info..... about the knocking.... my friend said he thinks he can hear it knocking but i cant hear it..... if i were to replace bearings.... should i go with stock or after market "performance" bearings? Im not planning on having that motor much longer anyway i wanna do the 3400 swap...... but who knows how long i will have it cause money is always and issue trying to save for college and all!
Pretty much any bearing will do the job for you. A "performance" bearing is just more expensive. Clevite seems to be the bearing of choice for the 2.2. The lifters make a noise that some people mis-diagnose as a knock. I would bet thats the noise hes hearing.
