Remote starters and paint code questions
Monday, January 30, 2006 3:55 PM
Ok I just bought a 93 sunbird with only 71k mile and a mint interior <god i love old people > but a blown head gasket that is now fixed . Anywho I was wondering if anyone has ever put an auto starter on a 2.0 motor and if so would i need any other parts other then the install kit? Also is there away to find out the paint code of a car? This car is too sweet to pass up for $300 but has the normal body cancer on the doors <4door> and rockers....but the fenders are fine . As soon as the car is legal to drive i will post pic's of it if any care to see it. Also has anyone mounted a CD changer in the armrest area near the E-brake and if so what style did you use?

The paint code will be on a sticker on the inside of the trunk lid! Is your car an automatic or 5spd transmission? Most states will not legally install an auto starter on a manual as the car can lurch forward if in gear and run over people or property...

I would put the CD changer in the trunk (except for on a leaky convertable) since I do not think there is any room for it in the console area. And does anyone else think the Sunbird has the smallest console in the world?

Agreed...I had thought about relocating my HVAC into it, but I realized it would never fit!

yeah i wish i had the car here so i could measure it and see. I would put it in the trunk but hate having to remember to change out cd's if you dont want it them. maybe i could fit it under the seat not too found of drilling into the floor
