Idle problem with 2.0 turbo
Tuesday, October 24, 2006 4:23 PM
Ive got an unusual problem........whenever im rolling and i put the clutch in, the RPM will drop normally until it seems to get stuck at 1500rpm.......until I come to a complete stop, then the idle returns to the desired 900rpm......the odd thing is that even if im rolling at 1100rpm....the idle will shoot up to 1500rpm when i put the clutch in, until i come to a complete stop....................I have a new TPS and it is tuned properly......I also have a new IAC ........what could this problem be? is there some kind of throttle return??

Was it doing this before? There is a value in the chip called the "throttle follower" which kicks IAC open when the vehicle is moving.

-->Slow

IT's normal.. mine does it too. When it does it worse, it's a sign of the TPS values drifting. Get a scan tool and make sure the TPS is reading 0% after driving for a while with your foot off the gas
