I have a 1993 VL coupe and I think my idle is a little high. I never had a tach before so now I see that it idles at 1000 RPMs and shakes a lot when it is in drive.

So if it is high, just check for vacume leaks? What about intake gaskets are they known for leaking causing an idle problem. I dont do much to my 2.2, runs awesome and all I know is 2.4s.

my 94 2.2 idles about 850 or so on the scan tool, my tach says about 1000 sounds about normal, the vibration is the rear motor mount on the pass side, mine vibrated so bad that the glove box would pop open sometimes, $40 and i threw the car in the air on a hoist and about 15 min and it was fixed, the rear mount is reallyeasy to change on a hoist, im gonna say thast definatly your problem with the vibration

Do you have a part number on the mount or where to buy it?

i bought mine straight from the GM dealer, since i worked there i got cost + 10% on the mount
