I was readjusting my muffler tonight, and I noticed that alot of rust is forming on my fuel lines, I want to replace them since I do not know how rusted they are, and how long they have been rusting .
My Question is how hard is it to relpace them, what tools are needed, as well as were to get them since Autozone and Advance auto doesnt seem to carry them online.
I don't know j-body's yet........but I will!
Depends on where you get them. If you get them from a dealership they are preformed (pre-93?) from vatozone or other box stores you will have to bend them to fit.
I only have to replace from the back end from the tank to the edge of the door, under the car.
would it be better to just repair that section or to replace them completely? or just spray on some rust converter and let it be until it has to be replaced.

Dont let it go until it has to be replaced, thats never a good idea... what if that time comes when your a few miles from home. If they are bad replace them now, its not hard at all, go to a parts store and buy some fitings and steel line and cut out the junk stuff (use a pipe cutter) then bend up your new pipe and flare the lines (dont forget to put the fitting on the end first) and bolt it all together, then tie the lines up out of the way... never hurts to under coat it
thanks, I just wasnt sure if I could just replace whats bad or not.
its like two cars put together, the back half is rusted pretty bad, and the front half is in great shape.......lol
